We provide exceptional veterinary care for dogs, cats and exotic pets while creating meaningful community impact.

The Regional Animal Protection Society (RAPS) is one of Canada’s largest and most innovative no-kill animal welfare organizations, with more than 30 years of saving and improving the lives of animals.
Under our care, no animal is euthanized due to lack of space, treatable illness, physical defect, age, behavioural or socialization issues. Our animals are enveloped in love and cared for, for the rest of their lives.
Animal Hospital
Rising veterinary costs inspired us to create a community-owned, non-profit animal hospital that makes exceptional veterinary care more accessible. RAPS Animal Hospital + Urgent Care opened in 2018 and is now one of Canada’s largest non-profit animal hospitals.
Cat Sanctuary
We created the RAPS Cat Sanctuary — the only one of its kind in Canada and among the largest in North America — a safe, forever home to hundreds of unadoptable cats.

Adoption & Education Centre
For stray, feral, rescued, abandoned and surrendered cats and kittens ready to find their family, our Adoption Centre helps them find loving, permanent homes.
